Questions Before Buying a Home

You don't need to have all the answers before you start. Knowing the right questions to consider can make finding the right home a whole lot easier.

What Are You Looking For?

We'll start with the basics: the kind of home you want, the areas you'd like to consider, and the features that matter most.

You don't need a perfect wish list. Part of the process is figuring out which things are truly important and which ones are simply nice to have.

When Are You Planning to Buy?

Your timing helps shape the search. If you're several months away, that's perfectly fine. Browsing early can help you learn what you like and give us a better idea of what to focus on when you're ready to start touring homes.

Do You Need to Sell Before You Buy?

If another home needs to sell first, we'll want to plan for that from the beginning. It can affect timing, financing, available funds, and how we coordinate one move with the next.

How Will You Pay for the Home?

If you'll be financing, we'll want a realistic budget and a lender pre-approval before we begin touring homes. If you're paying cash, we'll use proof of funds instead.

Are You Already Working With an Agent?

If you've signed an agreement with another real estate agent or brokerage, let me know before we get started. Existing agreements may affect how we move forward, and it's much easier to sort that out at the beginning.
